ACCOMMODATION SERVICES OF DINNER PLAIN (ASDP)
BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RESERVATIONS - SUMMER: A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation tariff is required within 7 days of booking to confirm you reservation. Where the deposit is unpaid after 7 days, ASDP reserves the right to cancel you booking without further notice to you. The balance will be required 30 days prior to your arrival date. Bookings that are made within a 30 day time period will be required to be paid in full at the time of booking.

Where the deposit is unpaid after 7 days, ASDP reserves the right to cancel you booking without further notice to you. The balance will be required 45 days prior to your arrival date. Where a balance is unpaid 30 days prior to arrival ASDP reserves the right to cancel the booking with no refund of monies paid. Bookings that are made within a 45 day time period will be required to be paid in full at the time of booking.

PAYMENT: Direct deposit is our preferred method of payment, details are included in your confirmation letter. Visa and Mastercard credit / debit cards are accepted. Cheques are not accepted.

CANCELLATIONS SUMMER BOOKINGS: Monies will be refunded (less 10% of total tariff charged) where cancellation is notified in writing, 30 days or more prior to arrival date. If less than 30 days notice is given no monies will be refunded unless the property can be rebooked. We recommend that you take travel insurance to cover against cancellation penalties due to involuntary cancellation.

CANCELLATIONS WINTER BOOKINGS: Written notice of all cancellations is required.

LESS than 30 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: No monies will be refunded unless property is rebooked.

30 to 45 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: 50% of tariff is forfeited, any monies paid over this amount will be refunded by EFT.

46 to 60 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: 25% of tariff is forfeited, any monies paid over this amount will be refunded by EFT.

OVER 60 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: 10% of tariff is forfeited, any monies paid over this amount will be refunded by EFT.

We strongly recommend that you take travel insurance to cover against cancellation penalties due to involuntary cancellation.

PROPERTY CHANGES: A Guest request to change to a different property within 60 days of arrival (30 Days for non winter bookings) will be considered to be a cancellation of the original booking and the Cancellation Clause will apply. A Guest request to change to a different property 60 (30 days for non winter bookings) days or more prior to arrival date and after the deposit has been paid, will incur a $100.00 administration charge.

BOOKING DEFERRAL: Subject to property availability, a booking may be deferred to an alternative date within the same winter / summer season of the original booking date, provided the booking is for the same property and a $50.00 administration fee is paid. Tariff increases due to date changes will apply. Tariff decrease due to date changes will be subject to the Cancellation Clause. Booking Deferrals cannot be made within 45 days of arrival.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: The person making the reservation and paying the required tariff to ASDP is deemed responsible for the care and security of the property during the period of their stay in the property.
A valid Visa or Mastercard credit card number must be lodged with ASDP prior to or on arrival at Dinner Plain. Any loss / damage to property and fittings, cleaning deemed excessive in accordance with our standard cleaning time frames and /or late checkout will result in the amount applicable being deducted from the credit card. A receipt will be forwarded to your postal address.
If no credit card available, then a valid photo ID and cash deposit of $500.00 must be lodged with ASDP prior to or on arrival at Dinner Plain. Security deposit will be returned within seven days of departure providing the property is left clean, departure was on time and no loss / damage has been caused, otherwise the amount applicable will be deducted from the bond prior to refund being made.

A Bond Authorisation form must be signed by the guest prior to, or on arrival. This form will be emailed to you with your booking confirmation and contains conditions of the bond..
We will not allow you access to the property unless the conditions of this clause have been met.

PROPERTY OCCUPANCY: The Property Listing for each property identifies the maximim number of persons, including children & babies allowed to occupy the property. Some properties may accommodate additional babies in their own cots, however this should be checked prior to or at time of booking. In the case of overpopulation of a property without prior permission, ASDP reserves the right to immediately terminate the booking without refund or to charge the occupants additional tariff for the additional persons.

LATE ARRIVALS: Please contact our office to make arrangements for key collection for arrivals after 5.00pm (4.00pm during non winter months)

CHECK IN TIME: Check in time is from 4.00pm unless prior arrangements have been made. During non winter months the check in time is 12 noon. Please be aware that whilst we will make every effort to have your property ready by this time however in busy periods this is not always possible and check in may be delayed.

CHECK OUT TIME: Check out time is no later than 10.00am (12 noon during non winter months). A fee of $50 per hour or part thereof will be charged for late departures, which have not been arranged with management at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.

TARIFF REDUCTIONS: There will be no tariff reductions for failure of appliances within the property that do not affect the safe and hygienic use of the property. Defective appliances will be repaired / replaced as soon as practicable, given the remote location of Dinner Plain.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS: ASDP is not required to supply household / electrical items (such as but not limited to coffee plungers, blankets, DVD Players, bedding for window, sofa & trundle beds) that are not present in the property on arrival. Please check with our office as to whether these items are available in your selected property.

DOGS: We have a limited number of Dog Friendly properties available. Please contact the office if you wish to bring your dog to Dinner Plain. Penalties will be charged where a dog has been kept in a property which is not dog friendly.

All Dogs visiting Dinner Plain must have an Alpine Shire Permit.

Note: It is advisable to make sure you have Anti freeze in your car's radiator and be aware that it is a legal requirement to carry snow chains in the Alps at all times during the winter season. It is also advisable to call Mt Hotham Resort Management on (03) 5759 3550 to check road conditions before arriving. We also recommend you take travel insurance to cover against cancellation penalties due to involuntary cancellation. Accommodation Services of Dinner Plain reserve the right to change the property booked to another of similar size and features if for some reason it cannot offer the original property due to unforeseen circumstances.
